Absolutely. Our coaches are experienced in working with various injuries and chronic conditions. We perform movement assessments to understand your limitations and create appropriate modifications. Many students find that our focus on mobility, proper movement mechanics, and progressive strength building actually helps manage chronic pain. We work closely with physiotherapists and can coordinate with your healthcare providers to ensure safe, effective training that supports your recovery and long-term health.

Yes, we recommend booking your spot in advance as our classes are capped at 12-14 people to ensure quality instruction. You can book up to 2 weeks ahead through our online booking system. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist and will be notified if a spot opens up.

Yes, we provide tailored corporate wellness programs designed to improve employee health, reduce stress, and boost productivity. Yes, we run seasonal outdoor training sessions in local parks, especially during warmer months. These sessions focus on natural movement patterns, obstacle navigation, and bodyweight exercises using park equipment. Outdoor training adds variety, fresh air, and new challenges to your practice. We also organize beach workouts and hiking sessions that combine movement training with nature immersion. Follow our social media or join our newsletter for outdoor session announcements, as these are weather-dependent.

Yes! We regularly host workshops focused on specific skills like handstands, ring work, flexibility, and movement flow. These intensive sessions allow deep dives into technique, providing accelerated learning in a focused environment. Workshops typically run 2-4 hours and are open to various skill levels with appropriate progressions. We also offer weekend retreats combining multiple workshops with recovery practices. Check our events calendar for upcoming workshops or join our mailing list for announcements.

Yes! We have all the equipment you need including pull-up bars, rings, parallettes, resistance bands, mats, and more. You don't need to bring anything except comfortable workout clothes and a water bottle. We also have spare water bottles if you forget yours.

Our classes follow a progressive structure where skills build upon each other. Beginners start with foundational movements focusing on mobility, basic strength, and body awareness. As you develop, you'll progress to more complex movements like handstands, muscle-ups, and advanced flexibility work. Every student progresses at their own pace with personalized modifications provided by our coaches. We track your progress through skill assessments and provide clear pathways for advancement.

Most students notice improved strength and mobility within 2-3 weeks. Visible physical changes typically appear around 4-6 weeks with consistent training. Skill acquisition varies by individual - some achieve their first pull-up in weeks, while advanced skills like handstands may take months. The key is consistency and following our progressive programming.

New members can start with our Introductory Day Pass ($30 for 24 hours) or our 2 Week Introductory Pass ($65 for unlimited access). Both give you full access to all classes so you can experience our coaching and community.

Most of what we run is for adults, 18 and over — group classes, personal training and our online coaching are all built around adult movers of every level, from complete beginners to people working on advanced skills.

We also run Kids & Teens classes for 12 to 17 year olds: small-group movement, mobility and conditioning, with the same coaching approach scaled to younger bodies. Places are arranged by enquiry rather than online booking, so get in touch and we will talk through whether it suits your young person.

Movement training at Beyond Movement focuses on practical, functional movement patterns that enhance everyday life and overall body control. Unlike traditional gymnastics which often emphasizes competitive routines and specific apparatus work, our approach is about building strength, flexibility, and body awareness through natural movement progressions. We incorporate elements from gymnastics, calisthenics, yoga, and martial arts to create a holistic training system suitable for adults of all fitness levels.

You can cancel or reschedule your class booking up to 2 hours before the class start time without penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of that class credit. For unlimited members, repeated no-shows may result in booking restrictions. We understand emergencies happen - just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Recovery is crucial for progress. We recommend active recovery through gentle movement, stretching, and mobility work on rest days. Our flexibility classes double as excellent recovery sessions. We teach self-myofascial release techniques using foam rollers and massage balls. Proper sleep (7-9 hours), hydration, and nutrition are fundamental. We also incorporate breathwork and mindfulness practices to support nervous system recovery. Your training program includes planned deload weeks to prevent overtraining and ensure sustainable progress.

We recommend beginners start with foundational movements: hollow body holds, basic push-ups, assisted pull-ups, and wall handstand work. These build the strength and body awareness needed for more advanced skills. In your first few classes, our coaches will assess your current level and guide you toward appropriate progressions. Remember, everyone starts somewhere!
