Personal Training That Adapts to You

Personal Training That Adapts to You

Inclusive, adaptive 1-on-1 coaching in Melbourne - we start from what your body does today

Group classes are excellent for community and structure, but when you need accelerated results, specific goals, or individualized attention, personal training delivers outcomes that group training simply cannot match.

At Beyond Movement, our personal training goes beyond generic fitness programs. We specialize in bodyweight mastery, handstand progression, mobility transformation, and movement quality—taught by Melbourne's leading movement specialists.

Inclusive and adaptive by default

Most training assumes a standard body and then makes exceptions for everyone else. We work the other way round: every program starts from an assessment of what your body actually does today, and is built from there.

Bodyweight training is unusually well suited to this. There is no fixed machine path to fit into and no minimum load to move, so almost every movement can be regressed, angled or supported until it is available to you - and progressed the moment it is. A push-up against a wall and a one-arm push-up are the same exercise at different settings.

In practice that means we regularly work with people training around a disability or chronic condition, rebuilding after surgery or injury, managing a joint that will never be fully pain-free, or arriving with no training history at all. None of that is a special case here, and none of it requires a separate program - it is the same coaching, calibrated differently.

What we do not do is guess. If you are under the care of a physio, surgeon or specialist, we would rather coordinate with them than work around them, and we will say plainly when something is outside what coaching should be handling.

Who We Train

Training That Adapts

Disability, chronic condition, limited range, or a body that simply works differently. Bodyweight training scales to the person rather than the equipment, so the program starts where you are.

Injury and Rehab

Rebuilding after surgery or injury, working around a joint that complains, or coming back after years away. We coordinate with your physio rather than working against them.

Starting From Zero

Never trained, or not for a very long time. One-on-one means nobody is watching, nothing is assumed, and the first session is about finding your actual starting point.

Specific Skill Goals

A first pull-up, a freestanding handstand, a muscle-up. Specific goals need specific programming and someone watching the detail every session.

Busy Schedules

Flexible scheduling and 60-minute sessions with nothing wasted, for people who cannot commit to a fixed class time each week.

Training Over 40

Strength, balance and mobility matter more with each decade, and they respond well at any age. Loading is adjusted to what recovers well rather than what looks impressive.

Personal Training Formats

1-on-1 Exclusive

100% coach attention, flexible scheduling, fastest possible progress. Premium experience.

Semi-Private (2-3)

Share session costs, small group dynamics, individual programming. Great for couples or friends.

Hybrid Model

Group classes for volume, PT for skill focus. Most cost-effective acceleration.
