Calisthenics Training for Chadstone

Calisthenics Training for Chadstone

A coached movement studio minutes up Warrigal Road - not another gym

We are on Warrigal Road, a couple of minutes from Chadstone - close enough that a fair few members drop in either side of a trip to the centre.

If you have been searching for a gym in Chadstone, it is worth knowing what we are. Beyond Movement is a coached movement studio, not a gym floor. No machines, no weights room, no swiping in and working out what to do on your own.

What you get instead

Small group classes in calisthenics, hand balance, gymnastic rings and mobility, every one of them coached and programmed. You work toward a skill - a first pull-up, a freestanding handstand, a muscle-up, a usable split - and the strength and flexibility come from chasing it.

Groups are small enough that coaches adjust within the session, so a complete beginner and someone working on levers train side by side on the same movement at different stages.

Everything is built for adult bodies, with progressions that account for desk work, old injuries and the recovery you actually get.

Why Chadstone locals train here

Two minutes away, and genuinely different from the gyms around the centre.

Minutes up Warrigal Road

Straight up Warrigal Road from Chadstone, with free on-street parking on Willesden and Swindon Road.

Coached, not self-serve

Every session is programmed and taught. The reason people keep turning up past week six.

Small groups

Individually programmed within the class, rather than a room following one routine.

A gym alternative near Chadstone

There are plenty of gyms around the centre, and if you want to train alone with headphones in, one of those is the better fit. We are the alternative for people who have tried that and stopped going.

The difference is being expected. You have a session time, a coach who notices when you are not there, and a skill you are visibly progressing toward - which turns out to matter far more than the equipment.

No lock-in contract, and beginners are the norm rather than the exception. Most people arrive unable to do a pull-up or hold a handstand, which is precisely the point.
